When you insert your card and type in your PIN number, the devices record and/or transmit the information. You will not notice anything while using the ATM, but later the thieves will use the skimmed data to access and empty your account. When using an ATM, make sure the keypad and card slot are part of the main panel of the machine and not stuck on with double sided tape!
