Art 10: Ceramics Planning BRING IN OBJECTS TO PRESS INTO CLAY TOMORROW! Consider some of the following examples:

You will be combining textures, created by pressing objects into clay, and inspration for nature for your ceramic studio piece. You may choose the technique you use as well as the object you create. This may be a function object like a platter, cup or bowl or an abstract sculptural object, If you choose a functional object it must function as well as have interesting form. Fill in your planning on the back of this sheet and hand it in at the end of class.
Name: ______________________________ Collect several reference images in your sketch book and complete 3-5 drawings of possible plans, before completing this planning sheet. This planning will be evaluated as part of your final mark. What object will you create? (bowl, cup, plate, sculpture, etc.) Discribe below:
What have you chosen as your inspiration from nature? (shell, beetle, microscopic object, ocean, etc.)
What materials or objects will you use to create texture on your ceramic piece? (wire, stamps, plants etc.)
What techniques will you use? (coil, pinch, slabs)
Final detailed drawing of your plan, please label the various parts and designs:
