BARANGAY PROFILE PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
BOUNDARIES- AROBO is one of the 50 Barangays of the Municipality of Tobias Fornier, Antique. It is located along the coastal road and is bounded by Barangay Igdanlog in the North, Brgy. Masayo in the South, Brgy. Lawigan in the East and Cuyo East Pass in the West.
TERRAIN- It has a total land area of 164.1096 hectares of this total land area, Residential-1.6807 has., Agricultural-88.9301 has, Riceland- 44.9928 has., Cocoland41.3971 has., Banana land- 2.5401 has., Pasture- 73.4988 has.

SOIL TYPES. The soil types are loam and sandy sand. Some portions of the land are suitable for agriculture and residential sites.
CLIMATE. The climate is common and normal to Panay island. There are two pronounced seasons; the dry and the wet seasons. Tuphoons usually come during the rainy months of June to November.
WATER SOURCES. Sources of water come from Artesian wells, deep well, electric pump and from the Barangay Waterworks system.

NATURAL RESOURCES. Sand, Gravel and Gold PUROK ZONATION. The Barangay is composed of 3 puroks, Purok 1, Purok 2 and Purok 3
ACCESSIBILITY. The barangay is 51/2km. away from the town proper and is accessible by a tricycle and jeepneys. Public utility jeepney’s ply the route to San Jose de Buenavista at fair intervals.
SOURCES OF INCOME. Barangay Arobo has a labor-oriented (both professional and non-professional) trading, farming and fishing economy. While others are engaged in working abroad (Seamen or overseas contract workders) or render labor services to others (helpers/laborers). Mostly the people here are fishermen whose income is very dependent on fishind and fry-catching.
HEALTH. Maintains the normanl health condition of the children in the Barangay, the Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) always checked and monitor the status of the children 0-6 years old (the pre-schoolers) to avoid malnutrition or malnourish children. Leading causes of mortality are Old age, hypertension, Arthritis and High Blood.

CULTURAL COMPOSITION. The residents of Arobo call themselves Antiqueños, their spoken dialects is “kinaray-a”. Majority of the residents are Roman Catholic (95%) while the remaining 5% belongs to other existing Christian sects.
POPULATION. The 2007 population of Barangay Arobo is 590 individuals with 113 households. The average family size is 5. The population is generally of working age (15-59 years old)
