Individual Artwork Loans
Please make a loan request to
[email protected] listing the works you would like to borrow. Once we have received your loan request, an Art Collection Manager will be in touch to begin the loan process. In addition to approval by an Art Collection Manager, all loan requests will be submitted to the artist. The Collection Manager will document and monitor the loan throughout the process should you have any questions. — A loan agreement must be signed by the Lendor (APT) and Lendee (borrowing institution) that stipulates all artwork requested, proposed dates, locations of exhibition, insurance information, as well as specifications for transportation (including pick-up and delivery) and installation. Please include information about the proposed exhibition, including a curatorial statement, press release, or general overview. LOAN AGREEMENT
— All artwork loans must be for a predetermined length of time. It is necessary for APT to be aware of proposed exhibition dates to ensure the availability of requested artworks. DURATION OF EXHIBITION
— We request that the cost of packing, transportation, courier service, and installation be paid for by the Lendee, in addition to any fees incurred by APT in releasing the artworks. Due to the size and scope of our collection, APT artworks are stored in locations around the world. To ensure that the cost of packing and transportation remains within the proposed budget, our Art Collection Managers can assist curators and representatives to find suitable works in locations convenient to the borrowing institution. The Lendee must also provide proof of insurance coverage for the artworks while they are in transport and in their possession. Please keep in mind that artworks in the APT collection may be available for acquisition, even during periods of exhibition. In the event an artwork is sold while on loan, APT reserves the right to request that the work be returned to the designated party. TRANSPORT & INSURANCE
5
APT also reserves the right to place restrictions on the loan of certain objects, which the artist or APT have determined should not be subject to travel or exhibition. — APT will produce a condition report prior to the release of and immediately upon the return of each borrowed artwork. It is highly suggested that the borrowing institution complete a condition report when the artwork enters and leaves the institution’s possession to assist APT in monitoring the condition of each of our artworks. CONDITION REPORTS
— Credits and courtesy line should be attributed to the “Artist and Artist Pension Trust [City]” (i.e. APT New York), in all exhibition material created by the borrowing individual or institution. In exchange for posting exhibition information on APT’s website and event listings, APT kindly requests exhibition catalogues, high- resolution images of the artwork after installation, and any other promotional material published with regards to the exhibition. PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL
— Our holdings in new media represent almost 15% of the APT Collection. The Video Lending Library is a media-based offering that provides museum curators and art organizations with an extensive selection of videos and video-based installations for their exhibition programming. The APT Video Library will soon be available for viewing on site in our New York offices. VIDEO LENDING LIBRARY

Curated Exhibitions & Exhibition Planning Services offers curated exhibitions as well as exhibition planning services that are customized to meet an institution’s needs. APT CURATORIAL
— APT develops exhibitions by professional curators that are available for loan. The cost to borrow these exhibitions covers the curatorial fee and the administrative fee for processing the loan. The borrowing institution is responsible for arranging and paying for transportation, packing, and insurance. A select group of available exhibitions and the associated curatorial statements are viewable in our web galleries at http://go.aptglobal.org/exhibitions. These include: CURATED EXHIBITIONS
> “TIME TO PLAY” BY MIKI GARCIA
> “FICTION, FANTASY, AND FRAGMENTS” BY PAMELA AUCHINCLOSS
> “IN ART WE TRUST” BY YULIA TIKHONOVA
EXHIBITION PLANNING SERVICES — Exhibition planning services offer an
alternative to our existing exhibitions. This service offers the benefit of the APT Collection, with the added dimension of a customizable experience. Institutions are invited to contact APT Curatorial to discuss the parameters of a new project. You will receive a proposal with the details of an APT Curator from our international network of professionals that we believe best suits the needs of your exhibition, as well as an estimate. Our APT curator will then begin work on a thematic exhibition within the institution’s considerations— including budget, venue space, and location. The fees for our services include a curatorial statement (may serve as wall text), wall labels, and an artwork checklist. The fee for curated exhibitions and exhibition planning services starts at $4,500 USD per exhibition. Please contact
[email protected] for more information.

About APT
is the first investment program created specifically to provide emerging and mid-career artists with a long-term financial planning opportunity through the collective contribution of their artworks into funds. APT consists of eight individual trusts developed around major art centers (New York, London, Beijing, Berlin, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Mumbai and Dubai). Comprised of up to 250 artists each, every APT is defined by an accomplished group of art professionals with an expertise in contemporary art—selecting each artist based on the quality of their work, their career growth potential, and their participation in the contemporary art scene. These artists work closely with our APT Directors to build a proprietary collection of their artworks within the framework of the APT Collection. You may read further about the APT model, view newly added artworks from our collection, and find available touring exhibitions at www.aptglobal.org. Artist profiles, articles, and events will guide your research and exhibition planning. APT
