SHARE LENT SOUP KITCHEN: The Social Justice Committee would like to thank all those who made our Soup Kitchen meal such a success last weekend. They include: * The many people who donated such a delicious variety of soups, breads, buns and desserts. St. Francis Xavier Parish has some great cooks. * Everyone who helped out in the kitchen and with cleanup. Many hands certainly do make light work. * All the parishioners who attended the meals and made generous donations. Over the course of two days we served about 120 people and raised $908.73 for Share Lent. Thank you again for your great support.

ST. FRANCIS XAVIER BOOK CLUB The next book the club will be reading is “The Shack” by William P. Young. In the book, “Mackenzie Allen Phillips's youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in this midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to the shack for a weekend. Against his better judgement he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change his life forever.” If you would like to participate in the book club and would like a copy of the book ($9.23) ordered, please contact Heidi Robinson at 432-3137 or [email protected] by April 8th. Book pick up will be April 20th at 7:30 p.m. in the rectory basement. The first meeting will be Monday, April 27th at 7:30 p.m. followed by biweekly meetings after the start date. Our group is very relaxed and flexible. All new members are welcome!
