CELEBRATION For the Future of our Church A “Celebration” will take place on Sunday, April 7, 2019, followed by a covered dish luncheon, sponsored by the newly formed Church harmony Group. A Registry, on display Caines’ hall, lists just some of the items that need to be replaced in our church. Monetary gifts will be accepted for any of the items on the registry, if you prefer not to shop. If you have any questions or need assistance, please call Gloria Lyons at 570-876-3978.

Canon Kitch Answers Call It is with sad heart that it is reported that The Rev Anne Kitch, Canon to the Ordinary, has accepted the call to become the next rector of St. Luke's Church in Phillipsburg, NJ, Diocese of Newark. All are invited to a festive evensong followed by a reception to take place at 5;00 pm on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity.

The Good News is “Eternal Life”.

Vestry News The March Vestry Meeting was held on Monday, March 11, 2019. The 2018 Parochial report was accepted. Bathroom repairs have been completed, and the exhaust fan in the kitchen will be replaced soon. On a quarterly basis, St. James St. George Episcopal Church donates 2% of all pledges to local charities. Suggestions are needed from parishioners as to who will receive donations during 2019. Please submit suggestions to Janice Black for consideration. Appleby’s fund raiser will take place on Saturday, July 20, 2019.

Due to the close proximity to the Easter give-away, there will be NO Food Pantry in April. There will be a Food Pantry on Wednesday, March 27th and Wedneday, May 29th!

Roast Beef Dinner

The next fabulously delicious Roast Beef Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2019. Volunteers are always needed. Mark your Calendar!!!!
