Approved Sites For Collection

TREC approved sites for collection In the United States of America. If you would like to propose a site which we have not listed here please contact us prior to gathering your sample. In most cases your site will be approved with just a few possible exceptions detailed below.  

TREC does not want or accept soil samples taken from private property without the express written permission from the property owner, a copy of which must be provided to TREC. Under no circumstances will we accept samples taken from grave sites or memorials to the dead. Sites such as (ground zero in New York) are not desired or accepted by TREC. Please use your best judgment and respect these locations and leave them undisturbed.

If you are unsure about a particular site please contact us prior to collecting your sample for instructions. Historical sites such as Gettysburg are acceptable as long as the sample is taken from a location approved by the administrators of the site and only after you have obtained their permission to do so. Please show the utmost respect for sites such as these and follow the instructions given by the site administrators. If the administrators refuse please gather your sample from outside the confines of the site and do not attempt to collect it within the site. TREC will pay shipping on any approved site listed in bold text below.
