Independent Work Abroad Program for Americans and Canadians in Germany: For Students and Graduates who Organize their own Internships.

The InWEnt gGmbH Independent Work Abroad Program offers students, recent college graduates, and young professionals under the age of 30 the opportunity to work in the Federal Republic of Germany. For those participants who need to improve their German language skills before beginning an internship or career training program, there is also the opportunity to participate in an intensive language training course. The Independent Work Abroad Program is designed for American and Canadian students, as well as recent graduates who have already gained work experience in their fields and are ready to expand their careers into the international arena. In this case, the participant finds the internship on his/her own, and contacts InWEnt gGmbH with the information from the host company. For this program, the German work exemption is issued to the participant through InWEnt, and is valid for a duration up to 12 months. Please see the following pages for application requirements and procedures. If you have any questions about the application procedures or the program, please contact Rana Deep Islam at the InWEnt gGmbH office in Bonn.
