Major Section.

2 single-spaced lines This is an example body of text for the Major Section. The First Letter of each important word in the Major Section title should be capitalized. Do not capitalize the starting letter of connecting words like of, the, and the like. The body of texts should be justified, and double-spaced. This template is prepared to ensure that all thesis proposals will have a uniform look. You can prepare your thesis proposal by directly using this MS Word file. You just need to change the section titles, etc. When you want to cite a reference, use the IEEE – Reference Style Order. If your source is a book with single author, you can cite it like this [1]. The details required for referencing a book with single author is shown in Error! Reference source not found.. You will notice that Error! Reference source not found. was referenced or cited in the text using the built-in “Cross-reference” function of MS Word.

Table should be prepared using the built-in “Insert Table” function of MS Word. Captioning of table shall also be done automatically. An example table is Table 1. 2 single-spaced lines 1.2

Tips on Setting the Sections

2 single-spaced lines You can easily set the sectioning by clicking on either Heading 1 (for Chapter Titles), Heading 2 (for Major Sections), Heading 3 (for Minor Sections), Heading 4 (for Sub-sections), and Heading 5 (for Sub-sub-sections).

1.2.1

Minor Section

This is an example body of text for the Minor Section. Going back to referencing, if your source is a book with more than one author, you can cite it like this [2]. The details required for referencing a book with single author is shown in Figure 2, as well as in the list of references. If your source is a journal, you can cite it like this [3]. Refer to the list of references for the details required when citing a journal article. Check this website for more tips on citing references using the IEEE – Reference Order Style: http://libguides.murdoch.edu.au/IEEE/all. Please note that if your sentence or sentences were obtained from more than one source, you can cite it like this [1] [2]. You can also cite like this [2] [3], or like this [1] [2] [3]. Your sequence of citing the sources must be based on the sequence of information you obtained from the various sources.

In cases where you need to add a sub-sub-section, it should be prepared like the one shown below.

1.2.1.1.1 Sub-sub-section

This is the body of text for the Sub-sub-section. 1.2.1.2 This is Another Sub-section
