Home 2009 Qualification Standards Modesto Irrigation District’s MPower Home Rebate Program offers residential customers incentives for the purchase and installation of qualifying energy efficient products installed in existing homes. Minimum qualifications must be met. General program restrictions are listed below. Refer to Rebate Catalog for product specific requirements and limitations. •

Purchase and install qualifying product(s) between November 1, 2008 and December 18, 2009. These dates may change if funds are depleted sooner. Qualifying products must be installed before submitting your application. The application and supporting materials should be returned within 90 days of purchase date. All applications must be postmarked by December 18, 2009 to be considered eligible.

For all qualifying measures, the product purchase date is determined by proof of purchase documents, such as the customer acceptance date of a home improvement contract or the printed date on the store cash register receipt or invoice.

All product installations that receive a rebate are subject to MID inspection.

MID reserves the right to request specific manufacturer specifications and/or data for any product.

In no case will MID pay more than 100% of the actual purchase price for the product(s) that qualify for a rebate, and purchase price is net of taxes and shipping. Proof of purchase document(s) must include price per product and payment terms or “type of transaction” (i.e. cash, credit, etc.).

These rebates do not apply to new home construction (see Smart Home Rebate program). However, for newly constructed homes, qualifying measures purchased and installed after the certificate of occupancy has been issued by the city or county are eligible for rebate under this program. Furthermore, qualifying measures installed in additions to existing homes are eligible for this program provided that the addition does not exceed 20% of the pre-existing floor area.

MID is not responsible for any taxes that may be imposed as a result of these rebates.

Rebates are issued as a credit on the electric account for customers and by check for owners of rental units.

Products can receive only one MPower Home rebate from MID during its useful life period; see rebate specifications. Reapplication for rebate will not be accepted during this period.

Owners of rental units should submit a separate rebate application for each service address.

MID reserves the right to periodically review and make changes to rebate qualification standards and to determine final program eligibility.

MID makes no representation or warranty and assumes no liability with respect to quality, safety, performance or other aspect of design, system or appliance installed pursuant to this agreement and expressly disclaims any such representation, warranty or liability.

Remember to include: •

A completed application, including contractor information and signature.

A photocopy of the original detailed itemized and dated invoice, contract, home improvement contract or cash register receipt for the product or work, including detailed payment terms.

Central air conditioning applications must include a copy of the permit.

Window applications must include a copy of the NFRC sticker for each window type.

Send completed application and supporting materials to:
