Stressed the need for psychological liberation, black pride, and non violent opposition. End of apartheid In 1990 president de klerk repealed discriminatory laws and released political prisoners Nelson Mandela freed after 27 years of prison 1993 drafted a new constitution 1994 ANC and Mandela won election.
