The Angelino Heights HPOZ Workshop

N Get answers to the following: What is an HPOZ (Historic Preservation Overlay Zone)? What am I required to do under the HPOZ? What type of resources are available under the HPOZ? How can I increase the value of my home? What are the benefits of owning a historic home? How can I repair my windows in ways that may be cheaper than replacing them?

Angelino Heights holds a rich amount of Los Angeles’ history from its early years of development and expansion throughout the early 20th century. The neighborhood was one of the first to develop around Downtown and in 1886 was known as the “Western Suburbs.” The single family and multifamily buildings in Queen Anne, Eastlake, Craftsman, Tudor Revival, English Revival, Spanish Colonial Revival, and Mediterranean Revival styles, create a “historic integrity” which define the area and need to be preserved.
