Analysis of JMET 2002 JMET took us completely by surprise this year although the pattern was the same but the difficulty level was certainly higher as compared to last year. The Question distribution was also different as in there was no separate section for Verbal Ability. And the biggest surprise of all, not a very pleasant one though, was that there was negative marking with 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer. That would have put a cautious brake on the free flow of attempts that was the norm in the JMET papers seen till now. So now selection was of paramount importance. The section on Quantitative Ability was tougher than that seen till now. But all was not bad the silver lining depending on which side of the "GK" fence you sit was that the number of questions in General Knowledge/General Awareness were halved to 15. So all said and done and also taking into account the toughness levels of each section an "AVERAGE" verdict could be given to JMET 2002. Overview of the JMET Paper: Time: 2 Hr.
