Current-Shunt Monitors Two-Stage, Voltage-Output Current-Shunt Monitor INA270, INA271 Get samples and datasheets at: www.ti.com/sc/device/INA270A-Q1 or www.ti.com/sc/device/INA271A-Q1
Key Features • Wide common-mode voltage range (–16 to +80 V) • Supplies of 2.7 to 18 V • 120-dB CMRR • Offset voltage: 0.5 mV • Total output error: ±3% maximum • Two-stage topology enables filtering with buffered output
TI’s INA270 (G = 14 V/V) and INA271 (G = 20 V/V) are two-stage, high-side current-shunt monitors. They provide a wide common-mode voltage range (–16 to +80 V) that makes them well-suited for automotive applications where protection against high-voltage transients and battery reversal is required. Operating from supplies ranging from 2.7 to 18 V, they offer ±3% maximum output error over the extended temperature range of –40 to +125°C. With a common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of 120 dB, the dynamics of common-mode voltages are no longer an issue. The two-stage topology of the INA270/1 readily enables filtering and preserves the buffered voltage output, eliminating the need for an additional op amp. Typical applications include control of (BL)DC-motors and variable-force solenoids.
Benefits • Allows for filtering with buffered output • Eliminates the need for an additional op amp • Filtering can be done with a single cap

DC/DC Controllers and Converters
Integrated, 5-V-Output Buck/Boost Converter with Extended Input-Voltage Range TPIC74100-Q1 Get samples and datasheets at: www.ti.com/sc/device/TPIC74100-Q1
TI’s TPIC74100-Q1 is an automotive, 5-V, fixed-output buck/boost converter with fixed 440-kHz switching frequency. The device has integrated power switches for 1-A load current capability. Its wide input-voltage range from 1.5 to 40 V allows operation even during cold crank and load-dump conditions. Lowpower operation and a standby mode make the TPIC74100 suitable for applications where power consumption is critical.

Key Features • Constant-output-current range: 5 mA to 120 mA • Programmable global current gain: 256 steps • Excellent output-current accuracy: • Between channels: < ±3% (max) • Between ICs: < ±6% (max) • Clock frequency: 30 MHz • Schmitt-trigger input • Supply voltage: 3.3 V or 5 V
The TLC5917 is designed for LED displays and LED lighting applications with constant-current control and open-load, shorted-load and overtemperature detection. It contains an 8-bit shift register and data latches that convert serial input data into parallel output format. At the output stage, eight regulated current ports are designed to provide uniform, constant current for driving LEDs within a wide range of VF variations. LED Supply Voltage up to 20 V 3 to 5.5 V VDD
