AMOS: THE WORLD'S MOST ADVANCED MORTAR SYSTEM The ability to accurately and responsively fire a mortar system from a moving combat boat at sea is creating new operational and tactical roles for in-shore naval combat support. Welcome the Advanced Mortar System (AMOS) from AAI Corporation –designed for the emerging naval firepower support role. The system combines advanced fire control with a stabilized gun to provide accurate fire-on-the-move capability. From a firepower perspective, the AMOS Mortar system fires up to 26 rounds per minute and supports a lethal Multiple Round Simultaneous Impact (MRSI) mission of up to 14 rounds impacting a single target area within 4 seconds. The system can simultaneously service up to four target sets. AMOS is quite simply the most lethal mortar system in the world. And it is available today.
