MEMBERSHIP AIMA offers two types of Membership: 1. INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP 2. INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP PROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS (PIMs) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA & GRADES

publishing articles etc on Management subjects or have had contributions that they made in their company or institution as mentioned in Point No.1 above, which would make them eligible for fellow membership. The above criteria are only guidelines and the final decision for conferring fellowship would rest with the Governing Council of AIMA.

HONORARY FELLOW MEMBER GRADE The AIMA Council of Management confers Honorary Fellowship on eminent persons. No applications are called for this category.

This grade is applicable to management professionals/ equivalent. Applicants should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

FELLOW GRADE (i) Should have attained the age of 21 years. To become eligible, the individual must have the following qualifications: 1. a) The individual must be a Senior Management functionary in either a Public or Private Sector Organisation and based on his / her personal contribution the company had made substantial progress in their revenue and profits, new initiatives, new directions in the last 2-3 years. They should ordinarily be a Member of AIMA for at least three years. b) Such an individual should have contributed to the Management movement by writing articles or giving lectures or must be regularly invited to speak at various conventions and seminars on any managerial subject. 2. The individual could also be from academics and who has made a substantive contribution to Management thought and movement by presenting research papers or writing well argued articles supporting his / her point of view. 3. Individuals with technical or legal background or Chartered Accountant or Cost and Work Accountants or Company Secretary or Defence Personnel etc would also be eligible for fellow membership of AIMA, if they have in some manner demonstrated either as faculty, writing or

(ii) Should be one of the following: (a) Executive / Public Administrator / Defence Services Official /Academician in management or related areas. (b) Technical or legal professional / Chartered Accountant / Cost and Works Accountant / Company Secretary qualified from Indian / equivalent foreign institution. (iii) Degree / Diploma in management from AIMA or a recognised University or Institution; or general management course from a recognised body. STUDENT GRADE This grade is applicable to students undergoing professional course in Management from recognized /reputed institutions. This membership may subsequently be upgraded to a higher grade, after completion of the management programme, or as and when eligible. Applicants should fulfill following eligibility criteria: (i) Should be graduate in any discipline from a recognized University (ii) Should be undergoing MBA Programme any functional management programme from a recognized University or Institution

are considered for membership. In case, AICTE withdraws the approval for any reason whatsoever, the membership of such schools will automatically cease.

NOTES (a) Management consultants, officials of trade associations, chambers of commerce and industry, etc. may be selected if judged suitable on the basis of past experience, nature of present assignment / achievements and contribution to the cause of furtherance of the management profession. (b) These eligibility guidelines are only illustrative, indicating the broad requirements for admission of members to various grades. The actual evaluation is, however, left to the Fellowship and Membership Committees and the AIMA Council, whose objective is to fully satisfy themselves about the suitability of the applicants vis-à-vis the professional standards of AIMA.

Multiple Combined Institutional Members l C o m b i n e d I n s t i t u t i o n a l M e m b e r s which have establishments in locations where other LMAs exist, may become members of those LMAs by paying additional subscription per LMA. l Separate Institutional Members In areas where there is no LMA; an organisation can become a direct member of AIMA. l Small Medium Enterprises (SME)

CORPORATE /INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS CATEGORIES

Institutions/Corporates shall have the option of becoming Institutional Members of AlMA in SME category which has annual turn over upto 50 crores.

l Corporate Members – Life time Membership Corporate Members shall consist of any organization/ educational institute in the private, public or joint sector, engaged in industry, trade or commerce by paying one time payment. l Combined Institutional Members (Annual) Institutional Members shall have the option of becoming Combined Institutional Members of AlMA and affiliation with one of the Local Management Associations (LMA). In the case of educational institutions, only AICTE approved Management Schools and Research Organisations approved by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India

CO-OPERATING MEMBERS Co-operating Members shall consist of national or international organisation(s) interested in and concerned with one or more aspects of management. They may be invited by the Council to become Cooperating Members for such period as may be decided. They shall not pay any subscription. MEMBERSHIP ADMISSION PROCEDURE New members are enrolled on a financial year basis. Membership Division of AIMA. After the application has been scrutinized by the AIMA Secretariat, the Council will consider and approve. Thereafter, the applicant will be intimated regarding the admission, giving the grade of membership to which admitted, and the date of admission. NOTES l All subscriptions and entrance fee will have to be paid only by a bank draft drawn in favour of ALL INDIA MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION, payable at New Delhi. l Subscriptions are subject to review from time to time by the Management Council of AIMA, without prior notice to the members. l Senior citizen members over 65 years of age will be charged 50% of subscription fee on both annual & life membership.
