UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES GURU GOBIND SINGH INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY COMPLIANCE OF AICTE NORMS FOR MBA PROGRAMME This is in reference to AICTE letter No. DL–10/(MBA)/MCP/20 dated 15/06/2006 regarding the excess intake in MBA programme. In this connection the following is submitted: 1. Faculty: The school has faculty strength of 16 regular teachers of which are;
03 Professors, 04 Readers and 09
Lecturers. Thus school maintain the teachers:students ratio of 1:12, which is for better than the AICTE Norms. Further, the University has advertised 3 more positions at the lecturer level. These positions will be filled up shortly. 2. Computer Facility: The School is maintaining highly equipped two computer labs having 105 terminals with latest configurations and softwares. Besides, the school has access to central computer lab. having more than 250 computers. Therefore, student and faculty have more than required access to computer facilities. 3. Library: The School has rich collection of approximately 5000 books, besides access to approximately about 4000 books on IT. We also subscribes 68 national & international Journals in the discipline of management. Our library is a member of the DELNET and Consortium of the UGC INFONET enabling access to huge online journals and other resources. We also provide the book bank facility to the students in which each student get four books per semester. Students have 7 days access to the library. 4. Placement – The school has a vibrant and pro–active Corporate Relations & Placement Cell (CRPC). The cell is looked after by a team of experienced teachers under the overall guidance of the Dean. The Cell handles all the activities related to identifying need for training,
imparting
personality
development
skills,
improving
communication through workshops, placements and training of MBA
students. The cell maintains a regular communication with the business industry and invites them for organizing campus pre and placement talks. It also organizes regular industrial training to bring students closer to the real–life business environment. Students through
a
management
association
of
MBA
students
called
‘Synergy’ support the Cell. We are proud to say that we have been able to achieve 100% placement in the previous years.
