•Humid Tropical ­­ At Equator and the  coast by the Gulf of  Guinea ­­ Hot and humid, heavy  rainfall ­­ Rainforest ­ oil palms,  ebony, mahogany

•Wet and dry tropical/subtropical ­­ Either side of Equator ­­ Two seasons, one wet  and one dry, usually  hot ­­ High grasses, some  tree clumps, game  animals

 

 

 

 

•Tropical and subtropical desert ­­ North and south, either  side of Tropics of  Cancer and Capricorn ­­ Very dry, hot in day,  cold at night ­­Usually very little  vegetation, a few oasis  watered by springs  

 

 

 

 

 

•Mediterranean ­­ Northern edge of  Africa, southern tip ­­ Hot dry summers, cool  wet winters ­­ Fruits and olives

 

 

 

 

 

 

•Humid subtropical ­­ Small area at  southeastern tip,  caused by mountains ­­ Hot summers, mild  winters, rainy all year ­­ Sugar cane

 

 

 

 

•Highlands of East Africa ­­ Tend to be cooler and  wetter than nearby  areas
