Installation Procedure NOTE: NOTE: NOTE:

NOTE:

For use of pulling cables prior to lashing. Do not exceed 300 lbs. of pulling pressure per cable. Cable Puller 18108000 is used for 1/4" (6 mm) and 5/16" (8 mm) strand capacities. Cable Puller 18108010 is used for 5/16" (8 mm) and 3/8" (10 mm) strand capacities. Also called “jig” and “airplane”.

1. Install from the bucket or the pole. 2. Release the brake by pushing the lever upwards and holding it in that position. 3. Place the Cable Puller on the strand with the eyelets facing the opposite direction in which the cable is to be pulled. 4. Hang the Cable Puller on the strand by placing the rollers over the strand. 5. Release the brake lever. The brake should now pinch the strand and hold the puller in place. The brake will release when the pulling begins and catch when the pulling stops. This will hold the unit in place and keep the cable from creeping back down the strand.

8. Attach the pulling rope to the eye at the front of the Cable Puller. 9. Proceed with the cable pulling process. The Cable Puller will have to be removed at each pole and placed on the next strand section for continuous cable placement.

Removal Procedure 1. Remove the Cable Puller after the lashing has been completed on the section of cable that the Cable Puller is holding. 2. Reverse the installation procedure to remove the Cable Puller.
