ACTION PLAN. Desirable Change. The desirable changes that I’d like to see is for the government or relevant authorities to do regular check-ups on the Kampongs’ drainage and be more firm and strict on the existing rules and regulations of drainage, or making new rules and regulations on drainage. Regular check-ups can be made twice every 3 months or once a month. Steps required to achieve the desirable change are as followed; 1st Step:I will make research and find if the rules and regulations on drainage does exist and how effective it was in the past. This will be done within next week. The resources that are required will be the internet and by approaching the authorities who have liable information about the rules and regulations on drainage system. 2nd Step:I will then approach the director of “Alam Sekitar” which is a unit in the Public Work Department(PWD); and review as well as giving evidence on what I have gathered about the problems of drainage system. I will try to persuade the director to review and put into his consideration as to why I would like to propose certain rules and regulations, and why improper drainage system is a concern. During this time also, I will present my findings (survey) to the director and explain what the survey is all about. I’m planning to do this by next week as well. Resources that I need will be the filled survey forms, pictures concerning the improper drainage system and evidence of my research or findings. 3rd Step:Hopefully, before moving to my 3rd step, I can persuade the director of “Alam Sekitar” about the problems of drainage. Then only can I proceed to my next step which is to write letter to any relevant authorities, and with the approval from the director of “Alam Sekitar”, I will propose and request certain laws, rules and regulations on drainage system. This can be done, hopefully before the end of October. Resources that I will need is the approval from the director of “Alam Sekitar” for proposing the laws. Other resources will be the evidences from my research.
