Act V Napoleon

Napoleon Napoleon Bonaparte defeated the most powerful armies in Europe and established a vast empire. He was known for his military skills as well as for his charm and intelligence. After his death, Napoleon was often memorialized in French art and literature.

• In 1804 napoleon named himself emperor of the French. He took the crown from the popes hands and placed it on his own head. His action really mad an impression on the French. In 5 short years France changed from a democracy to an empire.

• Napoleons first goal was to reconstruct the government he changed the elected officials to men he chose himself he also placed education under the control of the government creating technical schools, universities, and secondary schools

• Many peoples say that napoleon made a great impact on French law. He combined Old feudal and royal laws into a unified system

Battle of Trafalgar • Lord nelson destroyed the French fleet and defeated napoleon.
