Accordion-Fold Card Tutorial Step 1- Trim a piece of cardstock to 5 ½” X 12” and score at 1 ½”, 3”, 5 ½” and 8”. Fold accordion style.
Step 2- Cut your patterned papers, slightly smaller than the panels on your card. I used two pieces cut at 1 3/8”X 5 3/8”, two pieces cut at 2 3/8” X 5 3/8” and one cut at 2 7/8” X 5 3/8”. I inked the edges with my Cat’s Eye ink. And, I used paper from the Dream Street “Sam” line.
Step 3- Use a coordinating color of cardstock to make the “belly band.” It should be 7” long and wide enough to accommodate your sentiment. Mine was 1 ½” wide. Fold your band around your card. Don’t make it to tight because you want your band to be able to slide on and off your card. Adhere the ends of the band together. Back:

Step 4- Add your sentiment to the “belly band.” I cut the label from the “Say It” piece of paper from the Dream Street “Sam” line. And then I stamped the “thank you” on it.
Step 5- Create an embellishment that compliments your patterned paper. I used Nestibilities dies and a circle punch. Use adhesive on only the half of the embellishment that will be touching the front panel of the card. You don’t want it to stick to the second panel.
Your card is essentially finished! I decided to add another part of the “Say it” paper to create a place to write a note inside the card. Here is a photo of the card open.
Enjoy!!! ~~Nicole
