Republic of the Philippines Department of Education Region XI Schools Division of the City of Mati SAN ISIDRO NORTH DISTRICT ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN SCIENCE S.Y. 2018-2019
To test the abilities of the children, San Isidro North District conducted the District Science Quiz Bee 2018. All schools participated with one contestant per grade level from Grades Three-Six. The Contest started early in the morning and ended at twelve noon. The winners automatically participated in the Division Quiz Bee. No pupils qualified in the Regional level. All schools had maintained their Science gardens with many kinds of Herbal Plants. They had planted Mayana, White flower, Lagundi, Aloe Vera, and others. Aside from these, Waste Segregation had been practiced to maintain the cleanliness of the school. Wastes are segregated into Reuse and Recyclable. Last January 25, 2019, Science pupils together with their Science Teachers went to Mati to attend the “Science sparks”, the Traveling Science Centrum and Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology at Guang-guang, Dahican, City of Mati. They had seen, observed and even played the different Science equipments like colors of White Light, Pedal Generators, Hot Spot Circuit, Ultraviolet Light, Photovoltaic Cell and many others. It was fun playing the machines that children had experienced.
