ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT 2017 1. PHILHEALTH ORIENTATION FOR MEMBERS OF BASCFEA

BASCFEA conducted an orientation about PhilHealth last January 12, 2017, wherein membership requirements and benefits that can be availed by BASCFEA members were tackled and discussed by the invited speakers from Philippine Health Insurance Corporation Inc. 2. Book Writeshop and Training

A Book Writeshop and Training was sponsored by BASCFEA on January 13, 2017. The aim of the training is to properly equip faculty members of BASCFEA with the necessary knowledge in book writing. Speakers are from the St. Andrews Publishing Company headed by Dr.Teody San Andres.

3. Outreach Program – Gift Giving

A gift giving project was held at the TahanangMapagpala, a home for the elderly, located at Malolos City, Bulacan. Personal hygiene materials, food items, clothes and the like were given to the elderly sheltered at the said home. The gift giving project is an annual activity spearheaded by the BASCFEA as an outreach program participated in by the teaching and nonteaching personnel of BASC. 4. Orientation of New Members of the BASCFEA was conducted last August 2017. Newly hired employees of BASC who consequently become members of the association was oriented on the following topics: a. b. c. d.

Vision and Mission of BASC CSC Rules Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) Constitution and By-laws

5. Annual Medical Check-up of all Members of BASCFEA

The Annual Medical Check-up for all BASCFEA members was conducted last October 12, 2017. Part of BASCFEA’s mandate is to ensure that all its members have excellent health condition. As agreed upon in the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) between BASCFEA and BASC, an annual physical/medical examination will be provided to all its members.

6. Local SCUFAR 2017

The Annual Local Scufar was held last October 13, 2017. This is in preparation for the annual participation of BASCFEA to SCUFAR III. The Local Scufar also aimed to build and strengthen camaraderie amongst BASCFEA Members. 7. Annual State Colleges and Universities Faculty Association in Region III Sports and Cultural Festival 2017

The BASCFEA participated in the Annual SCUFAR III Sports and Cultural Festival held at Ramon Magsaysay Technological University in Zambales last November6, 7, 8, 2017. 8. BASCFEA Christmas Party held last December 15, 2017

Challenges Encountered: a. Insufficient Funds

Actions on Challenges: a. BASCFEA has undertaken various income-generating projects (i.e student’s uniform, employees’ uniform, Lei and graduation ribbon-making, chicharon and pastillas selling, etc.) in order to augment the income-expenses gap in the conduct of several activities of the association.
