SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT (Deworming Activity) Deworming of the students is a school activity in close collaboration with the Department of Health which aims to improve student health. In connection to this, deworming is not advisable without proper feeding of students. Thus, there is a need to map out the school feeding activity before the deworming activity. Besides the fact that students are advised to be properly fed before the said deworming activity, these are the primary intentions aimed for the school feeding activity; first is to provide nourishment to students prior to the deworming activity, second is to plan and agree on the food to prepare for the feeding activity, and third is to prepare food that is not only nutritious but economical as well. Last July 15, 2017, the students of Grade 10- Creativity have conducted a simultaneous feeding program for the deworming activity. The students were served chocolate rice porridge, locally known as champorado prepared with nutritious ingredients of Glutinous Rice, Sugar, and Milk. For the preparation, the class adviser brought cooking instruments such as pot, ladle, bowl, spoon, and firewood. The students contributed not more than 5.00 for the purchase of ingredients. The feeding activity commenced during the school’s recess time. The person involved in this activity are class adviser, students, school nurse, clinic teacher, and subject teachers respectively. The feeding activity as well as the deworming has ended successfully and the students have been dewormed safely.
