Assessments 1. Portfolio (Due in Week 11) (a) Worksheets completed for Sessions 1 to 10 (b)Independent Language Learning Records (at least 5 hours of independent study or participation in English enhancement activities/ self-learning activities; students are highly encouraged to use the self-learning language centre in the CPCE libraries). (See Record of Independent Learning on Moodle) (c) Homework Practices (See next slide) 2. Participation To PASS the workshop, all students must achieve at least 70% attendance rate for the workshops, be punctual, participate actively in the class learning activities and submit all the assignments before the submission deadlines.

Students have to complete the assigned tasks of the workshop such as in-class exercises and a self-learning portfolio satisfactorily AND to achieve 70% attendance rate for the workshops, or else their EAS coursework grade will be downgraded by one letter grade (e.g. C+ downgraded to C). 10/05/09
