RISK ANALYSIS ON MAIN ENGINE SUPPORT SYSTEMS KMP. FERRY RO-RO 750 GT Zulkifli Department of Shipping, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS) ABSTRACT Document risk assessement is one of the requirements demanded by the Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia which aims to provide guidance to its clients on how to prepare a risk evaluation to improve the security and safety (BKI, 2012). The fuel system is one of the main engine support systems were very influential on the ship operational, it is advisable to prepare this document is to provide information and consequently the risk of failure of the system. In this study, the risk of quality assessment using qualitative analysis to determine the flow of failures and causal methods of Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on the work of the fuel system KMP. Lakaan, subsequent to the assessment the consequences of this risk using quantitative analysis to determine the consequences of risk within a given time by the method of Failure Modes Effect Critical Analysis (FMECA) and Pareto diagram analysis result of research failures that have a score value Risk Priority Number (RPN) is quite high and significant this requires immediate treatment occurs in the fuel transfer pump components with failure modes of wear on the impeller due to cavitation.
