ABSTRACT OPTIMIZATION OF MULTI PURPOSE MACHINING PROCESS This machine is developed and fabricated for the purpose of “OPTIMIZATION OF MULTI PURPOSE MACHINING PROCESS”. Industries are basically meant for production of useful goods and services at low production cost, machinery cost and low inventory cost. Today in this world have been made quicker and easier by making use of technology advancement but this advancement also demands huge investment and expenditure. Every industry tries to achieve high productivity maintaining the quality and standard of the product at low average cost. This machine perform multipurpose operations i.e., CUTTING, GRINDING and DRILLING. At the same time with required speed and this machine is automatic which is controlled or operated by motor which run’s with the help of current. Optimization of machining processes is one of the most important elements in the planning of metal parts production. We have developed a model of machine which would be capable of performing different operations simultaneously, and it should be economically efficient. The model facilitate us to get the operation performed at different working centres simultaneously, as it is getting drive from single power source. The machine proposed in this project can perform tasks like cutting, grinding and drilling at single work station. It also reduces the cost of installing three different machines for performing each task and reduces the movement of work and operator. Objective of this model are conservation of electricity (power supply), reduction in cost associated with power usage, increase in productivity, reduced floor space.
