Introduction Ever since the existence of mankind, the goal of humans has forever been to make life simpler. Today, we are in the middle of what many are calling the Wireless Age, there is tending to use wireless technology in all aspects of the life, environmental control is one of the important issues in the world that allow controlling various consumer electronics. Although many different kinds of technologies have been invented, we should also give some priorities or focus to invent new devices for those people who have disabilities that we can also rely on them in some simple tasks. Statement of the Problem

This project is focused on designing and developing a system that can be applied on ordinary switch. It gives innovated classic switch that can provide a very useful to your appliances. This project aims to answer the questions: 1) How can a device be developed in a way that person with disability can be reliable? 2) What enhancement can be further made to an ordinary appliance to provide simpler task? 3) How can this device help people with disabilities to lessen their movement? Objectives of the Study Aim to develop a device that will help person with disability. The main objectives of the study are as follows: 1. To develop a device that can give easier way of task to those people with disabilities. 2. To lessen the movement of people with disability. 3. To help other people, giving an innovated classic switch. To make an easier way of giving signals by developing a “one click” turning indicator instead of hand signal of the cyclist

Conceptual Framework

INPUT After pressing the remote controller that will give signal to the circuit.

PROCESS As the remote controller transmit the signal to IR, the output from the IR will be received by the first relay. Then, the output from the first relay will be the input for the IC. Lastly, the output from the IC will be received by the second relay.

OUTPUT On and off of the appliances using remote control.

As shown in figure 1, the input of this device is the signal from the remote control. After this, the device will receive the signal from IR to relay to IC and ends to another relay that cause the appliances on and off.

Scope and Limitations The scopes of this device are the following: 1) This device can be used without extra movement. 2) This device can be processed by any remote controller. 3) The device will work all the time. 4) The device is a low cost and efficient design. 5) This can be operated by anybody even it has disability.

The limitations of this device are as follows:

1) The device’s relay is only operated with 5V. 2) The signal has only limited distance. 3) The device will not function unless there’s a man who will press the remote to operate it. 4) Relay voltage rating should be equal to the main power supply. 5) The disadvantage in the circuit is switching time between the transmitter and receiver (if we produce the signal from transmitter, again we have to produce the signal after 3 to 4 seconds). Rapid switching like regular remote cannot be done.

Significance of the Study The design project: Innovated Classic Switch is designated to help a variety of beneficiaries which are as follows: 1) Person with disability The project is designed particularly for person with disability because it will help them to feel that they can still do such things like other normal people.

2) Children This device is very helpful to youth because whenever they were left alone, they can easily on/off the appliances.

3) Adults The device can make life easier especially for adults with limited mobility and poor health.

4) Future researchers: This study would provide substantial information for related studies and also for the further modification and enhancement of the same device.

Definition of Terms 1) 555 IC Timer - The 555 can be used to provide time delays, as an oscillator, and as a flip-flop element.

2) Innovated - to introduce something new; make changes in anything established.

3) Mobility - the ability to move or be moved freely and easily. 4) Infrared - is electromagnetic radiation (EMR) with longer wavelengths than those of visible light, and is therefore invisible to the human eye.

5) Free wheeling diode – also called flyback diode is a diode connected across inductor used to eliminate flyback, which is the sudden voltage spike seen across an inductive load when its supply current is suddenly reduced or interrupted.
