A Talk and Book Signing by
Greg Robinson, Associate Professor, Université du Québec à Montréal
Tuesday, Oct. 27th 11:00 AM ‐12:30 PM SOS B40
The confinement of some 120,000 Japanese Americans during World War II, often called the Japanese American internment, has been described as the worst official civil rights violation of modern U. S. history. Greg Robinson's new book, A Tragedy of Democracy, is the first study to analyze official policy toward Japanese peoples within a continental context that includes the U.S., Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, and Peru.
