Approved Certifiers of Design Section 6 Energy (Domestic and Non-Domestic) BRE is a Scheme Provider for the Energy Certification of Domestic and NonDomestic Buildings, the Schemes are approved by the Building Standards Division of the Scottish Government. Certification is intended to create a fast track mechanism (in the form of a single certificate). This provides information on compliance with the building regulations to the Local Authority Building Standards Department. BRE’s schemes are specific in addressing the Mandatory Functional Standards of the Building Regulations (Scotland), Section 6 Energy. BRE has now trained dozens of Approved Certifiers of Design (Section 6 Energy) for domestic and nondomestic buildings. Approved Certifiers can produce Certificates of Design (Energy) for new build properties, extended properties and refurbished properties.
