When the future is not bright 3. When the journey is not pleasant When god speaks about strength and courage: 1. He GIVES a personal word How? a. Often through circumstances b. Often through friends and family c. Often through church d. Often through His Word e. Often through His Spirit 2. He MAKES a definitive statement Many times we struggle to accept the facts a. Decisions must be made b. Conclusions must be reached c. New goals must be established d. Help must be sought e. Faith, hope, and trust must be restored 3. He INCLUDES all affected people Many times our pain is doubled because we are concerned about the ripple effect 4. He AFFIRMS the specifics of His promises a. He is the God of decision b. He is the God of direction c. He is the God of detail 5. He REQUIRES a response God does not accept anything less than wholehearted acceptance and obedience The five actions required for strength and courage: 1. Prepare 2. Claim 3. Remember 4. Uphold 5. Digest
