Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

ِ‫بِسْمِ الِ الرّحْمنِ الرّحِيم‬ In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

ِ‫سمَاء وَالطّارِق‬ ّ ‫وَال‬ [86:1] I swear by the heaven and the comer by night;

ُ‫َومَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطّارِق‬ [86:2] And what will make you know what the comer by night is?

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

ُ‫النّجْ ُم الثّا ِقب‬ [86:3] The star of piercing brightness;

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

ٌ‫علَ ْيهَا حَافِظ‬ َ ‫س لّمّا‬ ٍ ْ‫إِن كُلّ نَف‬ [86:4] There is not a soul but over it is a keeper.

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

َ‫فَ ْليَنظُ ِر الِْنسَانُ مِمّ خُلِق‬ [86:5] So let man consider of what he is created:

ٍ‫خلِقَ مِن مّاء دَافِق‬ ُ [86:6] He is created of water pouring forth,

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

ِ‫ب وَالتّرَائِب‬ ِ ‫ج مِن َبيْنِ الصّ ْل‬ ُ ُ‫يَخْر‬ [86:7] Coming from between the back and the ribs.

ٌ‫علَى رَجْعِ ِه لَقَادِر‬ َ ُ‫إِنّه‬ [86:8] Most surely He is able to return him (to life).

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

ُ‫يَوْ َم تُ ْبلَى السّرَائِر‬ [86:9] On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest,

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

ٍ‫فَمَا لَ ُه مِن ُقوّ ٍة وَلَ نَاصِر‬ [86:10] He shall have neither strength nor helper.

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

ِ‫سمَاء ذَاتِ الرّجْع‬ ّ ‫وَال‬ [86:11] I swear by the rain giving heavens,

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

ِ‫وَالَْرْضِ ذَاتِ الصّدْع‬ [86:12] And the earth splitting (with plants);

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

ٌ‫ل َفصْل‬ ٌ ْ‫ِإنّهُ لَقَو‬ [86:13] Most surely it is a decisive word,

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

ِ‫وَمَا هُ َو بِالْهَزْل‬ [86:14] And it is no joke.

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

‫ِإنّهُمْ َيكِيدُونَ َكيْدًا‬ [86:15] Surely they will make a scheme,

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

‫وََأكِي ُد كَيْدًا‬ [86:16] And I (too) will make a scheme.

Surah at-Taariq (The Morning Star)

‫ن أَ ْمهِلْهُمْ رُ َويْدًا‬ َ ‫َفمَهّلِ ا ْلكَافِرِي‬ [86:17] So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while
