7th Grade Capitalization Tests

Dear Parents, Progress reports have been moved to Nov. 14, 2008. Mrs. Smaha’s class will be leading our Eucharistic celebration this week during our annual Eastern Rite Mass. If you have never been to an Eastern Rite Mass, please join us and experience the rich tradition found in this Mass. Just a reminder that there is no school next Tuesday in honor of Veteran’s Day. Seventh grade will wrap up their chapter on capitalization with a test on Wednesday. They will also wrap up their chapter on the Apostles with a test next Wednesday. Eighth grade is heading into the home stretch with their multi-genre project. This week, in english, we will concentrate on the rough draft of their expository. As I have done in the past, I will list as many upcoming major assignments or tests as I can, so you will know well ahead of time when an assignment, project, or test is coming. This will help you when you assist your child with his/her homework. Please remember these dates are tentative to schedule interruptions and student comprehension and understanding. The following are important dates to remember:

11/4 – Election Day 11/5 – 7th grade – Capitalization test 11/7 – 7th & 8th grade vocabulary – Unit 8 test 11/12 – 7th grade – religion test – Chapter 7 11/14 – 7th & 8th grade vocabulary – Unit 9 test 11/14 – Progress reports are distributed 11/16 – Blue and White Tournament – 2:00P.M. 11/18 – 7th grade - Hail Holy Queen prayer due 11/24-11/28 – No School – Thanksgiving holidays Please make sure to check my homework page at least once on Monday afternoon to make sure no changes have been made.
