5G All About Me Project Outline Step 1 ties into first math unit on graphing and building community at the beginning of the year • Each student individually enters data about him/herself on InspireData surveys • View data as a whole class in various forms • Record observations and conclusions Step 2 continues building community and introduces one use of pre-writing mind-mapping software • Each student individualizes an “All About Me” template using Inspiration (begins with same categories used with InspireData charts) • Students save to their own folder on the server, when complete, students upload files to Files Anywhere dropbox via Wiki space • Each student presents in computer lab using the Smartboard • Final projects are printed and displayed in the classroom • Share with 5F at Loudonville via video sharing (Skype, iChat) Step 3 ties in with first writing unit of the year and continues building community • Write an “All About Me” essay using Inspiration project in outline form that was transferred into MS Word • Students save to their own folder on the server, when complete, students upload files to Files Anywhere
