The centre will support a wide spectrum of education programmes ranging from training teachers at the school level, supporting web-resources and systems for the schools to advanced

IT based systems and services for higher education and the university’s postgraduate programmes in different fields. Further, to reinforce its social responsibility roles, the university will establish close linkages between its faculty members, scholars and the people of Nagaland at large, to identify, study and come up with diverse capacity building programmes and empowerment of people in education, agriculture, health and community developments through ICT driven systems and processes. Our goal is to enable the villages and institutions of Nagaland through dynamic information generation and sharing systems of value among people, provide opportunities for education to each, according to his/her level. We should empower communities, through ICT and Informatics, to address their real world needs, generate new opportunities and harmoniously use nature’s gifts to Nagaland with relevant socioeconomic activities, thereby nurturing the overall prosperity of the state. Our aim is to make this initiative serve as a role model for similar initiatives across the country. It will set up the example of equitable opportunities to get educated and to serve the people of the state according to the ability and capacity of each to contribute to the overall progress. The university is looking forward to a productive and meaningful collaboration with industry and thereby commit to green technologies only. Violence Against Women Violence against Women has manifested itsel in various forms including sexual assault/ rape, sexual harrassment, dowry deaths and domestic violence. To effectively deal with this problem and to bridge the gap between public and the private sphere, there should be many Governmental and non-Governmental interventions. Governemnt, is strengthening the existing legislations and developing institutional mechanisms by setting up State Commission for Women, Women Police cells etc. Shelter Home at Shillong to provide temporary Shelter to Women and Girls in distress.
