37 Destination and Forever The Quran states that our destination (mesir) is God and the place we will go is hereafter. It is one of the most important messages of the Quran that our final destiny (mesir) in hereafter will be forever. (ebeden). These two words, destination (mesir) and forever (ebeden), which are clearly interrelated, are used in the Quran in equal number, viz. 28 times each. Below are two:
43- We are the one who give life and death and to Us will be the destination. 50. Qaf, 43 9- … Anyone who believed and did the right, He will remit his sins, and will admit him into gardens with flowing streams. They abide therein forever. This is the greatest triumph. 64.
