Among afterschooolians, 40% are females. 45% of afterschooolians drink coffee. % of male persons who drink coffee is 20. What is the % of female non-coffee drinkers?
• Step: 1: those who don’t drink coffee:55% • Step 2: let us assume there are 100 persons, 40 of them are female and 60 are male – 12 (20%) drink coffee • Step 3: no. of males who don’t drink coffee: 60 – 12 = 48. • Step 4: no. of female who don’t drink coffee: 5548 = 7 or 17.5% of total female number ans. www.afterschoool.tk
When I added 20% of a number in that number and again added 20% of the new number in that number, I got 288. If instead of adding, I had subtracted the number in the same way, what would I get?
• Let us assume the number is 1, 20added – 1.2, again 20% added: 1.2*1.2 • Now we have got: 1.44 • But we want to subtract it: 1*.8 • Again we want to subtract 20% = .8*.8 • We get .64 • To get our number: 288*.64/1.44 = 128 ans. . www.afterschoool.tk
We prepare a pie chart of our cost structure. We have three components of our cost – material (30%) labour (60%) overhead (10%). What is the difference in angles of material and overhead?
• Step 1: angle of material is : 30% 0f 360 = 108 • Step 2: angle of overhead = 10% of 360 = 36 • The difference is : 72 Ans. • Or we could have taken 20% of 360
