Approve the termination of Michele Carew, Custodian, effective 2-13-09: Performance within the 90-day probation period.

3.

Approve the Business Operations Department to place an advertisement to seek bids for the installation of artificial turf at both Lakota East and Lakota West High Schools stadiums.

4.

Approve a trip to Chattanooga, TN for Lakota West High School Student Council members from March 27th – 29th, 2009. The students will miss one day of school. There is no cost to the district.

5.

Approve the acceptance of a $42,612.00 Ohio Environmental Protections Agency grant awarded to the Lakota Local School District and authorize the treasurer to establish the appropriate fund. Funds from this grant will be used to retrofit 54 school buses to reduce diesel emissions.

6.

Approve the acceptance of a $500.00 Community Foundation of West Chester-Liberty grant awarded to Woodland Elementary School and authorize the treasurer to establish the appropriate fund. Funds from the grant will be used to support the Woodland Store.

7.

Correction to February 9, 2009 agenda: Approve the acceptance of two $500.00 High Schools That Work grants awarded (one each) to the Lakota WEST Freshman School and Lakota East High School, and authorize the treasurer to establish the appropriate fund. Monies from these grants will be used to cover costs of professional development, materials relevant to professional development, teacher stipends, onsite work sessions, information sessions, and visits to other sites. (This originally read Lakota East Freshman School.)
