Senior Project Photo Journal Documentation Date: 3/10 Describe the work you completed on your project during this work time. I attached the neck to the body of the guitar and put on a second coat of polyurethane on the neck. After it had dried I did the wiring of the guitar. Soldering the wires to the components of the guitar. I also put the tuning machines on the guitar. I started to string the guitar but never finished (more on that later) What challenges/barriers/problems did you encounter as you were working? Same problem as yesterday with polyurethane getting on to the fretboard. I don’t know much about soldering and wiring so that was hard. I put one of the pickups in the wrong way so that the strings were touching it when I started to string the guitar. One of the strings broke as I was tuning the guitar. How did you overcome any problems during this work time? Wiped the polyurethane off with a tissue and used less polyurethane when applying it. For the pickup I unscrewed it and turned it around so that it was correctly mounted. I will have to buy new strings and start over the precess of stringing the guitar because of the broken strings. I solved my lack of skill in soldering with coaching help from Logan who has much more experience with it. How much time did you spend on your project during this work time? 4 hours 40 minutes How much total time have you spent working on your project (including this work time)? 10 hours Include at least one photo to document your progress to this point.
