* A member can pay any number of "Nomination Fees" at $20 and each one makes ONE of your horses/ponies eligible for Tri-State year-end awards. However, each of your horses earns individual points - same as always. We are requesting you to name the horses you plan to show -- you don't have to pay a NOMINATION FEE for all of them unless you want to. This listing is to help our point-keepers with their year-end tallies. However, if you are showing more than one horse, (but only paid 1 Nomination Fee) and because of showing successes, each of your horses earns enough points to qualify for a year-end award -- only your ONE "best horse" will actually WIN an award. (Determined by highest points and/or class standing.) If you want every horse you own to be eligible for year-end awards, you must pay the $20 Nomination Fee for each horse. * Nominations can be made any time during the year, however, points will only count from the date your Nomination Fee is received. (For instance, if you've made only one nomination & later in the season decide you'd like two horses to be eligible for awards -- ONE horse will earn points only from the date the second Nomination Fee was received. * If horses shown in Equitation Classes are to be eligible to earn points in other classes (i.e. Park Horse), a Horse Nomination Fee must also be paid for that horse. * Equitation & Schooling/Academy Div. Nominees must be Tri-State members. (If under 18, they may be covered under a family membership.)
* If a horse is owned by more than one person, ALL owners must be paid Tri-State members, (except husband/wife/junvile 17 & under.) However, only one Nomination Fee need be paid. * If a horse is sold which has already earned points during the show season - the new owner must be a paid Tri-State member. (Points will then follow the horse to the new owner.)
