PORCELAIN DOLLMAKERS GUILD OF WA INC. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY :Please read carefully. 1. All doll heads must be porcelain and china painted, except category 18d, 18e,18f & 23,24,25 and be incised with the maker’s name or initials and year and covered with opaque tape. Dolls not incised will be disqualified. Bear makers identification labels to be covered. 2. Entrants must attach to their doll a photocopy of their reference. If not, dolls will be judged at the Judge’s discretion. Correct type of body must be used. Reproduction dolls are judged on their authenticity and should be painted as closely as possible to the original. 3. All work and clothing must be the work of the entrant (with the exception of vinyl dolls). 4. All entries must be secured on a stand or prop no larger than the doll, baby dolls on a pillow. If bear or doll sits safely unaided, steward may waive this condition. Stewards have the right to refuse large or insecure props. **ALL ACCESSORIES MUST BE SECURELY ATTACHED
5. All care will be taken in handling the entries but responsibility for insurance rests with the exhibitor. 6. DEFINITION OF ENTRANTS DOLLS/BEARS JUNIOR: 14 years and under. NOVICE: A person that has been learning for a maximum 2 years. OPEN: A person who has been learning for 2 years or more as a hobby. SENIOR: 65yrs or over (Doll sections only) PROFESSIONAL: A person who teaches or makes and sells 6 or more dolls/bears a year. Note: A person who has entered as a professional may not revert to Open or Senior section. 7. A Rosette is awarded for the best Blue Ribbon entry 95 points and above, in each category. From these a ‘BEST IN SECTION’ trophy will be awarded. 8. RIBBONS: Blue 90 - 100 points, with ‘Star’ 95 - 100 Burgundy 75 - 89 points, with ‘Star’ 85 - 89 White 65-74 points. 9. Entries exhibited in other shows and won a Rosette or Major Award cannot be accepted and will be disqualified. 10. SPECIAL SECTIONS: ORIGINAL DOLLS: A photograph at final stage of sculpting must be submitted with doll, stating the medium used. THIS SECTION WILL BE DIVIDED INTO 3 SECTIONS REGARDLESS OF AN ENTRANTS STATUS IN REPRODUCTION DOLL MAKING. (1) Novice - up to 2 years. (2) Open (3) Professional, person who sells original doll moulds, original dolls or teaches sculpting. 11. The ‘THEME’ is ‘WEDDINGS’ The judges will be looking for the effect you have been able to create and will be chosen from any section category. 12. 13.

14. All entries are to stay on exhibition till 4.00pm, Sunday 5st October and are to be collected between 4pm and 4.30pm only. Please queue at the Doll Room door to collect your critique sheet - prior to collecting your entry. 15. Entering the competition does not give the entrant free entry to the show. 16.
