*Other EPA approved methods are also acceptable for use with prior approval from NDEP. ** Interim Action Levels for MTBE are 20µg/L or 200µg/L for a site, depending on receptors and potential risk. Discovery of any amount of any petroleum hydrocarbon in groundwater requires notification. Note: Action and cleanup levels are MCLs or State of Nevada derived numerical standards where no Federal MCL exists. For situations where no dissolved product is present (i.e. BTEX or MTBE), the Action Level and Cleanup Level for free product is 1/2". * NDEP prefers use of Purge and Trap (P&T) techniques for analysis of Gasoline releases via Modified EPA Method 8015. NDEP prefers the use of Extractable Techniques for analysis of non-Gasoline (i.e. Diesel, Motor Oil, Waste Oil) via Modified EPA Method 8015.
