some of the major things that occurred involving the war during the time of 1915 was that it officially became a world war in january. on february 4th germany declared a submarine blockade on great britain. this meant that any ship that approached this location would be considered a target. from may until october over 61 000 soldiers die. over 1000 of these was because of the lusitania sunk. the rest of the casualties were because the british attempted to used gas in battle but there were high winds that day so over 60 000 soldiers died. lastly, on december 28th allies began to withdraw their troops from gallipoli.
