LONDON, Oct. 1,--In reference to the plan of Henry Morgenthau, American Ambassador to Turkey, to transport to America the 550,000 Armenians who have escape slaughter. The Chronique has received some additional details from an authority on near Eastern affairs who has information direct from Constantinople by way of Sofia. Besides offering to make himself personally responsible for $1,000,000 defray the expense of the emigration, Ambassador Morgenthau has offered to find men in the United States who will raise $4,000,000 more. Whether this offer has been accepted or rejected by the Turkish authorities is not known. The probability is that it is being considered.
