COBHAM MSA 19/12/08 RWB’s Performance Specification for Foul and Surface Water Pumping Stations and Emergency Generator. (Information from RWB e-mail dated 19/12/08) The quotations provided by NHP are based on the Stage D information that RWB have developed as part of the tender package issued in 2007. The NHP quotation obtained for a foul sump is for a private packaged pump station and offers an additional cost for upgrading to TW SFA standards. The NHP quotation obtained for the surface water sumps is for private pump stations generally constructed to TW SFA standards and a revised quotation is attached. The following information represents the requirements for the external drainage pumping stations at the site: • Foul pump station: Construction Standard: Thames Water technical requirements and SFA. Pump Control sequence: Duty/Standby Single Pump Capacity: 15.0 l/s Sump Depth: 5.5m Emergency Storage: 45m³ Telemetry and control systems to BMS: Required Kiosk: Required •

Surface Water pump station 1: to SFA.

Construction Standard: Private station generally

Pump Control sequence: Duty/Standby Single Pump Capacity: 200.0 l/s Sump Depth: 4.0m Emergency Storage: Not Required Telemetry and control systems to BMS: Required Kiosk: Required Emergency Generator: Required •

Surface Water pump station 2: to SFA.

Construction Standard: Private station generally

Pump Control sequence: 2 x Duty/1 x Standby Single Pump Capacity: 290.0 l/s Sump Depth: 5.0m Emergency Storage: Not Required Telemetry and control systems to BMS: Required Kiosk: Required Emergency Generator: Required The NHP pump quotations conform to the above requirements however they are not fully inclusive and the contractor is required to make allowance for the additional items required, including but not limited to the necessary groundworks, civil works, builders’ works, emergency generator and ancillary equipment, control kiosk, telemetry control systems, access systems, valve chambers. In addition to the above we have obtained a quotation for an emergency generator in the event of power failure at the site. The quotation attached is for the supply of the generator capable of running the two surface water pump stations. The technical data and quotation are attached but it should be noted that the quotation excludes all civil works, electrical installation works, some mechanical installation works, specialist off loading requirements, provision of lighting, water and small power for site installation works.
