All Souls’ Day
Happy 100th Anniversary! Matching Gift Weekend TODAY The Sunday collection from all Masses today, along with all of the donations received during the Gala, will be matched by the Diocese of Austin. As you may remember, the Our Faith Our Legacy campaign included matching funds for the UCC. Up to $50,000 will be matched to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Catholic campus ministry at UT! What a blessing it is for us to match every dollar received during our Anniversary Weekend through the generosity of families throughout the Diocese and the support of Bishop Aymond! Help the Mission Trips! Eat some good food! This Tuesday, November 4th, come eat lunch or dinner at FISH CITY GRILL, a restaurant in Triangle (Guadalupe/Lamar/47th). 15% of all sales will be donated directly to the UCC Mission Trip to Belize. Fish City Grill is open 11 am to 10 pm, so stop by for lunch and dinner, before or after any of your meetings or classes on Tuesday. Bring Us Your Left Over Candy! Mobile Loaves & Fishes, Inc. (MLF) is a social outreach ministry for the homeless and indigent working poor. One of their missions is to serve food from catering trucks. They want to provide sweet treats for the people they serve so each truck run carries a bin of candy. Every year MLF collects candy after Halloween-"Candy from Heaven". Please help us collect "candy from Heaven" for MLF by bringing any extra candy you did not pass out, or any candy you received to church on today and Nov. 9th. There will be bins in the foyer to collect candy for MLF. These donations save MLF lots of money that can be used for food. Wednesday Carbos for Christ Lambda Omega Alpha Fraternity invites all for food and fellowship at 12:30 pm on Wed-nesdays in the Atrium. $3.00 suggested donation.

[email protected] Remembering Our Deceased Loved Ones Traditionally, the month of November has been a special time for the Church to remember its deceased loved ones. So that we may keep your dear ones in prayer, we invite you to write the names of your beloved dead in our Book of Remembrance. We also invite you to bring pictures and mementos of your loved ones for a special display near the Book of Remembrance. The Paschal Candle, symbol of Christ's resurrection over death, will be lit near the book each time we celebrate the Eucharist during the entire month of November. This weekend’s Black Bag is for the US Bishop’s Catholic Campaign for Human Development. Conscience and the Catholic Voter Pope Benedict has called upon us to build what he and Pope John Paul II have called “a civilization of love,” a civilization where the rights and dignity of each person-especially those who are most vulnerable, the unborn and the frail elderly-are respected from the moment of conception until natural death; where the family, based on the love of husband and wife, welcomes children into the world and imparts to them the truths and values that make good citizens; where the hungry and homeless are assisted, the immigrant welcomed, the environment protected, and all legitimate paths to peace are pursued. It is in light of that task of ours that we evaluate the moral quality of what is proposed by candidates and public officials, and work proactively for the ongoing transformation of our society.
Weekly Reflection Question: What do you grieve? What in this Gospel passage helps dispel your grief?
Fr. Isaac Hecker, CSP, Founder of the Paulists, pray for us!
