Tim Writes  On Thursday I attended the ordinations of four new priests in our Diocese and in chatting afterwards discovered that the number of enrolments for Bishopdale Theological College has exceeded the planned expectations. Both these items are a real source of encouragement for the future of the church as we work towards making sure we have leadership for the future. PARISH PICNIC SUN 22nd FEB. Next Sunday we will head straight out after church to Lake Mahinapua for lunch, swimming and kayaks. Please bring togs, lunch and energy. Tim will bring a BBQ for those who have meat they would like to cook. We will also have heaps of lifejackets for those who want to go for a ride on kayaks or possibly Rob's boat. ECUMENICAL PRAYER MEETINGS Come join with Christians from various churches to pray for our community. Currently we have two regular opportunities to join together. Weekly

from 7-7.30am during term time in the Holy Trinity Chapel each Tuesday, and monthly from noon-12.30pm on the third Thursday of the month just before the Ministers Association meeting. The venue will vary from month-to-month and will be advised in the newsletter. This month (Thursday, Feb 19th) the meeting will be held at the Holy Trinity Parish Centre, 201 Tainui St. All welcome. NEW ARRIVAL Congratulations to Alice Noble as she becomes a great grandmother of now four children. Raine safely delivered Kate Taylor Rasala, born 12.28 am 7th Feb. - all well. WOMEN'S AGLOW Women's Aglow is starting back up this coming Thursday the 19th of Feb at 7:30pm. The meeting will be at "The River", 77 Packers Quay, Blaketown with guest speaker Dianna Ingle the field rep for the South Island. There will be a supper to follow. SIGN UP FOR BISHOP'S WALK At the back of each church are forms and a map for signing up to walk part of the way with the Bishop on Mar. 6th & 7th when he walks from Punakaiki to Greigs and then to Greymouth. People are welcome to walk with him for part or all of that distance. We will be arranging transport to and from the various points on both Friday and Saturday. Please read the instructions and then fill in the form if that's what you would like to do. FOOD PARCELS We have some more food parcels. These are for families both inside and outside the church who are in need. If you know of someone in that situation

then please get in touch with the vicar or one of the wardens for permission to uplift a box or two. MENZ BREAKFAST - 21st Feb There is a Menz breakfast on the 21st February. It'll be in the usual place of Holy Trinity Church's Lounge at 7:30am. The cost is $7. Please advise Steve Neale if you are coming for catering purposes on 768-7844. They will be picking a steering committee. PIZZA DAY ON 21st FEBRUARY The first Pizza Day of the year is coming up soon. so start thinking about orders and regular customers. The date will be confirmed in next weeks newsletter.
