The academic qualification of the scribe should be one grade lower than that required for the post. iii. The scribe should be from an academic stream other than that of the applicant. The scribe should possess 50% or lesser marks in his own academic stream. iv. Both, the applicant as well as the scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking, confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe as mentioned above. Further, in case it later transpires that he did not fulfil any of the laid-down eligibility criteria or he suppressed material facts, the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the written test. v. Applicants who use a scribe shall be eligible for extra time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination. II. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 01.01.2009) (A) RURAL DEVELOPMENT BANKING SERVICE (RDBS) Grade ‘A’ (Assistant Manager) Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification in any subject from any recognised University with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (means total marks obtained by the applicant in all the papers of the examination held by the concerned university) or its equivalent grade. SC/ST applicants with graduate degree with a minimum 45% in aggregate (means total marks obtained by the applicant in all the papers of the examination held by the concerned university) or equivalent qualification are eligible to apply. In the interview, weightage may be given to the applicants having Post-graduate degree or specialisation in the area of management, agriculture, agri-business, rural development, economics, engineering (agri, civil, electrical, mechanical), IT, finance, forestry, animal husbandry, fisheries, soil sciences, etc. Knowledge of computer operations is desirable. III. AGE (as on 01.01.2009) Between 21 and 28 years for graduates (i.e. Applicants must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1981 and not later than 01-01-1988) and between 21 and 30 years for post-graduates (i.e., applicants must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1979 and not later than 01-01-1988 ). RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT: Upper age limit is relaxable by (a) 03 years in case of eligible OBC applicants and (b) a maximum of 05 years in case of : (i) Applicants belonging to SC/ST, (ii) Ex-employees of banking institutions whose services had to be terminated for reasons of economy measures or as a result of the bank going into liquidation (iii) personnel retrenched from Govt. Offices after at least one year’s service (iv) Ex-servicemen (including Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers) provided that the applicants have rendered at least five years continuous Military Service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability or have been released on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or on invalidment, (v) Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers who have completed their initial period of assignment of five years of Military Service but whose assignment has been extended beyond five years and in whose case, on selection, the Ministry of Defence issues certificates that they would be released within 03 months from the date of receipt of offer of appointment, (vi) Applicants who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period 01 January 1980 to 31 December 1989 (vii) Children/family members of victims died in the 1984 riots. Mode of Payment: For making payment of fees, postal and banking charges the applicants are required to log in through our website i.e www.nabard.org and fill up the Format of Challan available in Payment Option. The Challan which will have 3 parts may be printed by the applicant and submitted at any branch of State Bank of India alongwith the required amount of fees as indicated above in cash. Applicant’s copy and NABARD’s copy are returned to the applicant with the undernoted details : (i) Journal number (7-10 digits) to be provided by the branch (ii) Branch name (iii) Branch code number and (iv) Date of deposit Fees and other charges once deposited will not be refunded under any circumstances. The payment of charges would be accepted by the bank branch only during banking hours from February 5,2009 to February 26, 2009. No other mode of payment of application charges is acceptable. A candidate who has made the payment of charges as per the above specified procedure may thereafter apply online. Even if NABARD extends the last date of registration due to any technical reasons, the valid dates during which the fees would need to be paid in the bank branch would remain between 5 to 26 February 2009 only. V. HOW TO APPLY: The eligible applicants are required to apply online through website www.nabard.org. No other means/ mode of application will be acceptable. The application form should be filled in English only. Option for the use of Hindi language will be available for the Written Test/ Interview. Before registering their application on the website, candidates are required to download the format of the challan, fill it up, deposit the prescribed application fee in cash at any branch of State Bank of India and get receipt from the branch. GUIDELINES FOR FILLING APPLICATION ARE AS UNDER: i. Applicants should have a valid e-mail id. In case candidate does not have a valid e-mail, he/ she can create a new e-mail id. This e-mail should be valid for the duration of the recruitment period. This will help him/ her in getting call letter/ interview advices, etc., by e-mail. ii. Applicants must ensure that on deposit of fees and other charges, the branch issues him two copies of the challan which should invariably mention undernoted terms :- (i) Journal number (7-10 digits) (ii) Branch name (iii) Branch code number and (iv) Date of deposit iii. The payment of fees should be made between 05.02.2009 to 26.02.2009. This date will also be applicable to the applicants belonging to far-flung areas. iv. Applicants should keep a copy of the Application printout and Challan Receipt for their record. v. NABARD’s copy of the Challan will have to be submitted with the admission letter at the time of written examination. vi. An ‘Acquaint Yourself’ booklet will be made available to the applicants on the NABARD website which they may download along with the call letter for written test. vii. Applicants serving in Government/ Quasi Government Offices, Public Sector Undertaking including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions will be required to submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer at the time of interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid. viii. The reserved category applicant will have to produce his/her original caste certificate/ relevant certificates at the time of Phase-II Examination and Interview, failing which his/ her candidature shall be cancelled and he/ she will not be admitted for interview. OBC applicants, availing reservation will have to produce OBC certificate with Non-creamy layer clause issued on or after 01.04.2008 at the time of interview. NOTE : With a view to overcoming the possibility of applicants seeking help of other applicants during the written exam, the Bank would be analysing the responses of applicants in the written examination with other appeared applicants to detect patterns of similarity. On the basis of such an analysis, if it is suspected that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine/ valid, the Bank reserves the right to cancel the candidature of the suspected applicants. VI. EMOLUMENTS AND SERVICE CONDITIONS Pay Scale: (i) Assistant Managers in Grade ‘A’: Rs.11250-700-18950-EB-700-21750-750-22500. (ii) Total present monthly emoluments at the basic pay of Rs.11250/- p.m. will be about Rs.17,696/- p.m., as per existing DA rates. (iii) The posts carry benefits of non-contributory Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Leave Fare Concession, Medical Facilities and other perks. (iv) Initial appointment of a selected applicant will be on probation for a period of 02 years, which may, at the Bank’s discretion, be extended for a further maximum period of 01 year. (v) At certain centres, limited number of residential quarters are available. Facility for securing residential accommodation on lease, however, exists at all centres. (vi) Selected applicants are liable to be posted and transferred anywhere in India. VII. SELECTION PROCEDURE The selection will be in two stages: Stage I : Written Examination Stage II : Interview Stage I (Written examination) will consist of two Phases Phase-I - Objective type (multiple choice questions). Paper-I will cover tests of (i) General Awareness,(ii) Test of English, (iii) Quantitative Aptitude and (iv) Reasoning. Paper-II- Descriptive type - English Language Phase-II- A Select list of applicants will be prepared from the merit list of the Phase – I test and they will be eligible to appear for the Phase – II test of Economic & Social Issues The written Examination for Phase –I will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2009 and Phase-II will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2009. NOTE: (1) In Phase-I, the question papers on the test of General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning under PAPER - I will be set bilingually in Hindi and English. Test of English Language under Paper-I and PAPER - II will be set in English only. (2) In Phase-II the paper on ECONOMIC & SOCIAL Issues will be set bilingually in Hindi and English. The syllabus of the Written Examination will be sent to the applicants along with the Admission Letter for the Written Examination and the same will also be available on the NABARD website, i.e., www.nabard.org Stage II (Interview) Applicants qualifying in the Phase-II Examination and securing sufficiently high rank in merit shall be short-listed for interview. The final selection and ranking of the applicants will be based on their performance in the Phase-II written examination and interview, taken together. VIII. EXAMINATION CENTRES Phase -I The written examination will be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong and Thiruvananthapuram. Phase-II- The Phase –II written examination will be held on Zonal basis at the Centres to be decided later on. APPLICANT SHOULD SELECT ONLY ONE CENTRE FOR PHASE-I WRITTEN EXAMINATION AND INDICATE THE SAME IN THE APPLICATION. CHOICE OF CENTRE ONCE EXERCISED BY THE APPLICANT WILL BE FINAL. REQUEST FOR CHANGE IN CENTRE WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED. NABARD, however, reserves the right to change/ cancel any of the centers for the Written Test depending on the response/ number of applications. Candidates admitted to the Written Test will be intimated the time and full address of the venue through Online Call Letters only. Candidates will not be admitted to the Written Test without the call letter. In view of sending the Written Test Call Letter Online, no duplicate call letter will be issued to the candidates. IX. ACTION AGAINST APPLICANTS FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT : Applicants are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered/ fabricated or should not suppress any material information while filling up the application form. At the time of written examination/ interview, if a applicant is (or has been) found guilty of : (i) using unfair means during the examination or (ii) impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or (iii) misbehaving in the examination hall or taking away the question booklet (or any part thereof)/ answer sheet from the examination hall or (iv) resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/ her candidature for selection or (v) obtaining support for his/ her candidature by any unfair means, such a applicant may, in addition to rendering himself/ herself liable to criminal prosecution, be liable : 1. to be disqualified from the examination for which he/ she is a applicant. 2. to be debarred, either permanently or for a specified period, from any examination or recruitment conducted by NABARD, and 3. for termination of service, if he/ she has already joined the Bank.

The Government of India in the Ministry of Civil Aviation has constituted the Selection Committee for the purposes of selecting Chairperson and other Members of AERA, under sub-section (2) of Section (4) of the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India Act, 2008. 2. Applications are hereby invited for consideration of the Selection Committee for making recommendations for selection of Chairperson and 2 Members of the AERA. The terms and conditions for selection to the posts of Chairperson and Members of the AERA are as under. 01.

Scale of pay

Terms and Conditions

The Chairperson and Members will be governed by the terms and the service conditions as per Section 4 and 6 of the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India Act, 2008 and rules made there under. The Chairperson and Members shall be whole-time Members.

Essential Qualification and Experience

Persons of ability and integrity, having adequate knowledge of, and professional experience in, aviation, economics, law, commerce or consumer affairs may apply for the said posts. Provided that the person who is or has been in the service of Government shall not be appointed as a Chairperson or Member unless such person has held the post of Secretary or Additional Secretary to the Government of India or any equivalent post in the Central or State Government for a total period of not less than 3 years.

Admission to the written examination will be purely provisional without verification of age/qualification/category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) etc., of the applicants with reference to documents. Note : For OBC applicants, only the castes/ sub-castes figuring in the Central List will be considered. (b) For PWD : Medical Board at the District level. OBC Certificate in the format as prescribed by GOI and issued by the competent authority inter-alia specifically stating that the applicant does not belong to the socially advanced sections excluded from the benefits of reservations for OBCs in the civil posts and services under the GOI with ‘CREAMY LAYER’ clause should be submitted alongwith the application based on the income of the financial year preceding the date of application. The Caste Certificate should be for the financial year 2008-2009, issued on or after 01.04.2008. Applicants belonging to OBC category but coming in the ‘CREAMY LAYER’, hence not entitled to OBC reservation and age relaxation should indicate their category as ‘GEN’ or ‘GEN (OH)’ or ‘GEN (VH) ‘ (as applicable). Attested copy(ies) of relevant SC/ST/OBC/OH/VH certificates should be submitted in the prescribed format at the time of Phase II (main exam) for those qualifying. 8. Only those applicants who are willing to serve anywhere in India, including rural areas, need apply. 9. The applicants must ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria and that the particulars furnished by them in the application are correct in all respects. 10. Mere admission to the Phase I/ II written examination for an applicant does not imply that the bank has been satisfied beyond doubt about the applicant’s eligibility. In case it is detected at any stage that a applicant does not fulfil any of the eligibility criteria, and/ or that he/ she has furnished any incorrect information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/ her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcoming(s) is / are detected even after appointment, his/ her services will be summarily terminated. 11. Appointment of selected applicants is subject to his/ her being declared medically fit by Medical Officer(s) appointed/ approved by the Bank. 12. Decision of NABARD in all matters regarding eligibility, conduct of examination, interview and selection will be final and binding on the applicants and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. 13. No applicant will be appointed in NABARD service, who, (a) after such enquiry, as may be considered necessary, is not found suitable for the Bank’s service and (b) after such medical examination, as the Bank may prescribe, is not found to be in good mental or physical health and free from any mental and/or physical defect likely to interfere with efficient discharge of duties. 14. In case any dispute arises on account of interpretation in versions other than English, the English version will prevail. 15. The applicants will appear for the Written Examination at the allotted centres at their expenses and risks and the Bank will not be responsible for any injury/ loss, etc. of any nature to him/ her. 16. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :

Before applying for any post, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligibility norms. The candidate should have the requisite Educational/Technical qualifications from recognized University/Institute as on the closing date of submission of the application. Those awaiting results of the final examination need not apply. RRB may reject the applications of candidates at any stage of recruitment process in case the candidate is not fulfilling the requisite criteria, and if appointed, such candidates are liable to be removed from service summarily. The candidates who have been debarred for life from all RRB examinations or the candidates who have been debarred for a specified period which is not yet completed, need not apply in response to this Employment Notice. Their candidature will be rejected during any stage of recruitment as and when detected. Candidates should fill up the application in his/her own handwriting and must sign as well as put their left hand thumb impressions at the prescribed places. Applications should be filled either in English or in Hindi. Application should be on a good quality A4 size bond paper (80 GSM) using one side only. Newspaper cuttings should not be used as application. The candidates purchasing printed application from the market should ensure that it conforms to the prescribed format published in the Employment Notice. The candidates can also make photocopy of the application format as given in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar and then fill up the details. They can also download the application format from the website of the RRB. The detailed employment notice has also been displayed on the notice board in the office of RRB. RRB will not be responsible for any postal delay/ wrong delivery of call letters / Rejection letters. RRB does not intimate candidates who will not be selected in written/ online examination or any other test. Selection by RRB does not confer upon candidates any right of appointment in Railway. The function of the RRB is to recommend names of suitable candidates to the Chief Personnel Officer of the concerned Zonal Railway / Production Unit who in turn issues the offer of appointment letter subject to the availability of vacancies and candidates being found medically fit and satisfying all eligibility criteria. Selected candidates will have to undergo training wherever training is prescribed for the post. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC who fulfill required educational qualification/technical qualifications can also apply against UR vacancies. They will, however, have to compete with the UR candidates. No age relaxation will be allowed to such SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against UR vacancies. Free Second Class Railway Pass as and when admissible will be issued to the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities when they are called for written / on-line examination or Aptitude Test/Skill test/ document verification provided they submit valid caste certificate. Selected male candidates who are finally appointed are liable for active service in Railway Engineer's Unit of Territorial Army. Female candidates are also eligible. EXAMINATION FEES: 3.01 SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen /Physically Handicapped candidates - No examination fees. 3.02 Unreserved/OBC Candidates - Examination fees have been indicated against each post. 3.03 The examination fees are non-refundable. It should be paid in the form of a crossed Demand Draft to be drawn at the main branch of any of the Nationalized Banks, or in the form of Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of 'MEMBER SECRETARY, RAILWAY RECRUITMENT BOARD, ALLAHABAD” valid for a period of six months. The Bank Drafts/Indian Postal Orders should be payable at Allahabad. The application form should be filled up in English or in Hindi only, strictly observing all the instructions given in this Employment Notice. 7.01 The selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of written / online examination. In addition, Aptitude/Skill Test/Interview etc. may also be conducted wherever applicable. Short listed candidates will be called for verification of the original documents according to merit, availability of vacancies and reservation rules. 7.02 There shall be negative marking in written/online examinations and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer @1/3 of the allotted marks for each question. 7.03 The syllabus for the written/ online examination will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. The Questions will be of objective type with multiple answers and likely to include questions pertaining to General Knowledge, General English / General Hindi, General Arithmetic, Analytical and Quantitative Skills and those subjects covered as part of minimum educational/technical qualifications for the post. MEDICAL FITNESS TEST: The candidates recommended for appointment will have to pass requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post. 7.06 Stages of examination are given against each post. Based on the performance of candidates in the examination, the candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be called for document verification in the main list. In addition 30% extra candidates are also called as standby candidates and they are considered for empanelment only if there is shortfall in empanelment from the main list. During document verification, the candidates will have to produce their original certificates. No additional time will be given and the candidature of the candidates not producing their original certificates on the date of verification is liable to be forfeited. 7.07 The appointment of selected candidates is subject to his/her passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificate and verification or antecedent/character of the candidate.

The above medical standards (Criteria) are indicative and not exhaustive and apply to candidates in general. For Ex-Servicemen different standards apply. Candidates applying for the post of ASM/ALP/Motorman should enclose a medical certificate from a Registered Eye Specialist as per prescribed format ( Annexure -6). It may be noted that candidates qualifying in examination(s) for these posts but failing in prescribed medical examination(s) will not in any case be considered for any alternative appointment. EX-SERVICEMEN CANDIDATES: This employment notice contains some vacancies reserved for ex-servicemen irrespective of their community. However, ex-servicemen may also apply against other vacancies not earmarked for them for which they will be granted age relaxation and fee exemption as indicated in paras 2.03 & 3.01 respectively. EXPLANATION : The persons serving in the Armed Forces of the Union, who on retirement from service would come under the category of Ex-Servicemen may be permitted to apply for reemployment one year before the completion of the specific terms of engagement and avail themselves of all concessions available to Ex-Servicemen but shall not be permitted to leave the uniform until they complete the specific terms of engagement in the Armed Forces of the Union. 10.01 The suitability of a post for persons with disability has been indicated against each post. In case of some posts, certain vacancies are specifically reserved for them. Blindness: 'Blindness' refers to a condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions, namely: (i) total absence of sight; or (ii) visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (snellen) in the better eye with correcting lense; (iii) limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degrees or worse; (b) Low vision: “Person with low vision” means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive correction but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assistive device. (c) Hearing impairment: “Hearing Impairment” means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. (d) Locomotor disability: “Locomotor disability” means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy. (e) Cerebral Palsy: “Cerebral Palsy” means a group of nonprogressive conditions of a person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development (f) All the case of orthopaedically handicapped persons would be covered under the category of “Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy.” DEGREE OF DISABILITY FOR RESERVATION: Only such persons would be eligible for reservation in services/posts who suffer from not less than 40 per cent of relevant disability. A person who wants to avail the benefit of reservation will have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority as given in Annexure-7. COMPETENT AUTHORITY TO ISSUE DISABILITY CERTIFICATE: The competent authority to issue Disability Certificate shall be a Medical Board duly constituted by the Central or a State Government. The Central/State Government may constitute Medical Board(s) consisting of at least three members out of which at least one shall be a specialist in the particular field for assessing locomotor/cerebral/visual/hearing disability, as the case may be. Visually Handicapped candidates/those candidates whose writing speed is affected by Cerebral Palsy can avail the assistance of SCRIBE for writing answers on their behalf. For engaging the SCRIBE, the candidate will have to suitably inform the RRB in advance as per Annexure-8. The engagement of SCRIBE will be subject to the following conditions: (a) The candidates will have to arrange their own SCRIBES at their own cost during the examination. Separate Admit Cards will be issued to the SCRIBES accompanying the Visually Handicapped candidates. Admit cards should contain the particulars and photograph of the SCRIBE duly signed by him/her. (b) The academic qualification of the SCRIBE should be one grade below the qualification prescribed for the post for which recruitment is being made. (c) The SCRIBE can be from any academic discipline different from that of the candidate. He/She should not have secured more than 60% marks in the qualification mentioned at (b) above. (d) The candidates as well as the SCRIBE will have to give a suitable undertaking (Annexure-8) along with the application conforming that the SCRIBE fulfills all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a SCRIBE as mentioned above. In case it transpires later that he/she did not fulfill any of the laid down eligibility criteria or there has been suppression of material facts, the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled irrespective of the result of the examination. The Visually Handicapped candidate shall be responsible for any misconduct on the part of the scribe brought by him/her. The undertaking, as given in the Annexure-8, should be submitted by the Visually Handicapped candidates/candidates whose writing speed is affected by Cerebral Palsy, along with his/her application. All one eyed candidates and VH candidates whose visual degree of disability is less than 40% shall not be considered as Visually Handicapped persons and the provision for engaging SCRIBE shall not be applicable to them. All selected candidates will be subjected to medical examination by Railway Medical Authority at the time or appointment and only those conforming to the medical standards as laid down in the Indian Railway Medical Manual and other extant provisions, as the case may be, will be eligible for appointment. Selection does not imply appointment in Railways.

SERVING EMPLOYEES: Candidates serving in any Government Department or Public Sector Undertaking including Railways should apply through proper channel or should apply directly to the RRB, with NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the employer to avoid delay. The last date of receipt of applications in the office of Railway Recruitment Board will not be extended on account of any delay in transmitting the application by the concerned office. Advance copy of the application without no objection certificate will not be entertained. Applications received after closing date and time will also not be accepted.

ON-LINE EXAMINATION:

12.01 The RRB may conduct computerized online examination for all or any of the categories of posts mentioned in this Employment Notice. In such cases, the detailed instructions for online examination will be sent to the candidates along with their call letters. 13.

MISCELLANEOUS:

13.01 The entire employment notice along with all Annexure will also be available on the website of RRB. Candidates can print the application forms and information sheets along with annexure and use for sending applications to RRB. 13.02 All Enclosures should be either in English or in Hindi only. Where certificates are not in English/Hindi, self attested translated version (In Hindi/English) should be enclosed. The applications without the requisite enclosures will be rejected. Any of the above enclosures sent separately will not be entertained. 13.03 RRB may hold written / online examination anywhere in the country. RRB reserves the right to conduct additional written/On-line examination/typing skill test/ interview/ document verification at any stage. IMPERSONATION / SUPPRESSION OF FACTS :

14.01 No Candidate should attempt impersonation or take the help of any impersonator at any stage of the selection process. Otherwise the candidates will be debarred for life from appearing in all RRB examinations as well as the debarred from any appointment in Railways, in addition, legal action will be taken against the candidate. 14.02. Any material suppression of facts or submitting forge certificate/caste certificate by a candidate for securing eligibility and/or obtaining privileges including free travel for appearing in the examination shall lead to rejection of his/her candidature for the particular recruitment for which he/she has applied. Further, he/she will also be debarred from all examinations conducted by all RRBs all over the country for a period of 2 years and legal action can be initiated, if warranted. 14.03 A candidate will be debarred from examinations of all RRBs for a specified period/life time if (i) the candidate submits multiple applications for the same post and category; (ii) the candidate submits multiple applications with different community for the same post & category; (iii) the candidate submits multiple applications with different photo (face) for same post & category and (iv) the candidate submits multiple applications with different documents for the same post & category. 14.04 Any candidate found using unfair means in the examination or sending someone else in his/her place to appear the examination will be debarred from appearing in all the examinations of all the RRBs for lifetime. He/she will also be debarred from getting any appointment in the Railways. Such candidates are liable to be prosecuted by lodging FIR. 15.

WARNING: Beware of Touts and job racketeers trying to deceive you by false promises of securing job in Railways either through influence or by use of unfair and unethical means. The relaxation in upper age limit will not be applicable to the candidates who are working in other Govt. Departments/ Public Sector Undertakings. Consistent with the maintenance of efficiency of administration and subject to availability, 15 per cent posts shall be reserved for Scheduled Castes, 7.5 per cent posts for Scheduled Tribes, 27 percent posts for Other Backward Classes and 3 per cent posts for physically disabled persons (i.e. One leg or both legs are affected) in the cadre of Personal Assistant. Mode of Selection for both the posts :- Selection shall be made on the basis of written Examination comprising of one paper in English language (Essay, Grammar and Translation). The candidates who are declared qualified in English language paper will be called to appear for a shorthand test. The short-listed candidates would also undergo typing test on computer and interview. Post with the words “APPLICATIONS FOR THE POST OF:” superscribed on the envelope, addressed to the Joint Registrar(Estt.), Delhi High Court, Sher Shah Road, New Delhi-110003, so as to reach him not later than 25.02.2009. Application form can also be downloaded from the website of this Court viz. www.delhihighcourt.nic.in. The candidates already in Government Service should apply through proper channel. Incomplete/ Unsigned applications and applications received after due date or not accompanied by the requisite ‘NOC’ from their employers, shall be rejected summarily and no inquiry thereto will be entertained. A candidate applying for both the posts shall have to make separate applications with separate requisite fee. The date of the examination will be intimated later on. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all stages of examination viz. Written Examination, Shorthand test and the interview will be purely provisional subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification at any stage before or after the said tests/interview, it is found that any candidate does not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature for the examination shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference. While applying for the posts the applicants should also bear in mind that the selected candidates will have to work even at odd hours and on holidays.
