Pastor Wes to Bill Thursday 10:14 AM December 11, 2008 Hi Bill. Simple Sunday this week - the focus will be the cantata and you should be able to sit back and listen. A few things though... Announcements Congregational Meeting - Today at 11:30 Christmas Worship - use for the next few weeks, please add to the information in the bulletin that there will be worship Christmas Day at 10:00 as well. Worship Visuals Joy Advent Candle Notice that prayer time this week will consist of a pastoral prayer and the Lord's prayer. Scripture reading - please do not print page number in the pew Bible Images for Cantata and Offering - lets keep them very simple this week. I don't want to raise the screen before the Cantata, but I also want all attention on listening. Please choose two images that communicate the peace of the night Christ was born - stars, stable, falling snow - you get the idea. Display one image, along with the title of the Cantata, while the choir sings. Display a second image during the offering. Thanks Bill. Pastor Wes

Good Christian friends, rejoice with heart and soul and voice; give ye heed to what we say: News, news! Jesus Christ is born today! Ox and ass before him bow, and he is in the manger now. Christ is born today, Christ is born today!

Good Christian friends, rejoice with heart and soul and voice; now ye need not fear the grave: News, news! Jesus Christ was born to save! Calls you one and calls you all to gain his everlasting hall. Christ was born to save, Christ was born to save!

Good Christian friends, rejoice with heart and soul and voice; now ye hear of endless bliss: News, news! Jesus Christ was born for this! He hath opened heaven's door, and yet are blest forevermore. Christ was born for this, Christ was born for this!

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise God, all creatures here below: Alleluia! Alleluia! Praise God, the source of all our gifts! Praise Jesus Christ, whose power uplifts! Praise the Spirit, Holy Spirit! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Doxology p94

Sing We Now of Christmas

Sing we now of Christmas, Noel, sing we here! Hear our grateful praises to the babe so dear. Sing we Noel, the King is born, Noel! Sing we now of Christmas, sing we now Noel!

Angels called to shepherds, "Leave your flocks at rest, journey forth to Bethlehem, find the child so blest." Sing we Noel, the King is born, Noel! Sing we now of Christmas, sing we now Noel!

In Bethlehem they found him; Joseph and Mary mild, seated by the manger, watching the holy child. Sing we Noel, the King is born, Noel! Sing we now of Christmas, sing we now Noel!

Gold and myrrh they took there, gifts of greatest price; there was never a stable so like paradise. Sing we Noel, the King is born, Noel! Sing we now of Christmas, sing we now Noel!

From the eastern country came the kings afar, bearing gifts to Bethlehem, guided by a star. Sing we Noel, the King is born, Noel! Sing we now of Christmas, sing we now Noel!
